The Trust welcomes volunteers who would like to assist with the maintenance of the Cemetery grounds. Do you enjoy working outdoors, gardening, have a passion for roses, are interested in local history or just want to spend a few hours a month helping out?

About Woodend Cemetery
Although the site for the Cemetery was reserved in 1861, burials were taking place from the mid 1850s. The first memorialised burial was on 18 October 1856.

  • To reserve a grave plot or cremation niche.
  • To inter your loved ones ashes.
  • To locate a local monumental mason.
  • To locate graves of family members or friends.
